How can I find out more details about the rides?

We'll put details on our events pages the month before each ride. Just click on the relevant month from our events page

Do I need to be super fit?

The short answer is no! Some rides are easy, over flat or gently undulating ground, while others involve steep ascents and are more strenuous. We'll give a short description of each walk on the relevant month's events page and you can decide what suits you.

What are the rides like?

Like all Saturday Brunch Club activities, the focus is on enjoyment. The rides are relaxed, friendly and very welcoming to new members. We usually go to a pub or cafe for a bite to eat at lunchtime.

What will I need?

Adapted for the weather conditions this is the basic kit. Always bring a waterproof even in the Summer as you just never know!

  • a bike!

  • helmet

  • gloves - essential in winter, optional in summer

  • waterproof jacket

  • ideally base layer and wind proof cycling top. Alternatively, t-shirt and light fleece are fine.

  • ideally cycling shorts or trousers. Other fast-drying, water resistant trousers or shorts are fine too. Jeans are not recommended as they become heavy and uncomfortable when wet.

  • rucksack or bike bag for snacks and layers

  • water and snacks (we stop for lunch)

  • spare inner tubes in case of puncture

How much does it cost?

Our guided bike rides are free.
