Glam Rock Gig in aid of Cancer Research UK

Get out your dancing shoes and prepare to be rocked… at an evening of music and craic in aid of CANCER RESEARCH UK. You will enjoy the sounds of the legendary Irish rock band Five Sexy Boys - a mixed 10-piece 70’s/80’s Irish rock outfit!!  There will be auctions and raffles with wonderful prizes to be won. The live music will be followed by a disco. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.

See SBC member Angus, in the Rolling Hills
annual concert.  They perform unaccompanied harmony, singing a mix of classic popular songs. I've been before and it's very entertaining. Guaranteed to put a spring in your step and much less expensive than new shoes!

‘Get fit without the gym’ social ride series
W
e'll cycle behind Arthur's Seat through the Innocent Railway tunnel, past Duddingston Loch, along the cycle path, short ride on quiet streets, past Portobello golf course and then into the back of Portobello.  We'll lunch in Portobello picnic style beside the sea, or in a cafe, depending on the weather. We will make our way back along Fishwives Causeway to Portobello Road and then back to Holyrood Park, where the cycle path will take us back to the beginning.

Laserquest puts you onto a derelict starship in the distant future, pitting you against opponents. Players stalk each other through an arena of over 5000 square feet in tunnels let by pulsating lights, corridors that that glow eerily, up ramps and onto towers and catwalks shrouded in smoke...

Dollar Glen and Ochils Walk
Ian has planned a lovely walk into the Ochil Hills (east of Stirling) along the beautiful Dollar Glen of approximately 2 hours. We’ll walk beside the atmospheric burns of Care and Sorrow as they cascade down narrow wooded ravines. Weather permitting we’ll wander up onto the Ochil Hills for lovely views back across the Forth Valley. There will also be the opportunity to look around Castle Campbell part way up the glen (normal price £4.50 but the weekend of 21st and 22nd is free! – as is entry to all Historic Scotland properties). Depending on the weather forecast nearer the time we may picnic al fresco or go to a nearby pub for a late lunch.

The Beltane Fire Festival is held every year. Over 12,000 people share the spectacular procession famous for its intensity and colour. A must see.
