‘Get fit without the gym’ social ride series
We'll cycle behind Arthur's Seat
through the Innocent Railway tunnel, past Duddingston Loch, along the
cycle path, short ride on quiet streets, past Portobello golf course and
then into the back of Portobello. We'll lunch in Portobello picnic
style beside the sea, or in a cafe, depending on the weather. We will
make our way back along Fishwives Causeway to Portobello Road and then
back to Holyrood Park, where the cycle path will take us back to the
beginning.

Dollar Glen and Ochils Walk
Ian has planned a lovely
walk into the Ochil Hills (east of Stirling)
along the beautiful Dollar Glen of approximately 2 hours. We’ll walk
beside the atmospheric burns of Care and Sorrow as they cascade down
narrow wooded ravines. Weather permitting we’ll wander up onto the Ochil
Hills for lovely views back across the Forth Valley.
There will also be the opportunity to look around Castle Campbell part
way up the glen (normal price £4.50 but the weekend of 21st and 22nd is
free! – as is entry to all Historic Scotland properties).
Depending on the weather forecast nearer the time we may picnic al
fresco or go to a nearby pub for a late lunch.
