Wonderful concert in aid of CLIC Sargent, the UK's leading children's cancer charity.

Thrilling night of intrigue, investigation, fabulous food and lots of laughs in a beautiful setting.

Thurs 21

Winter Wonderland
In Wonderland riding the big wheel, Christmas carousel, ice skating, wandering around the Christmas markets and drinking mulled wine.  Afterwards we went to Café Royale for a bit of Christmas spirit!

Thurs 21

Ceroc dancing

Sun 24

Christmas Eve Drinks at Sygn

Pre-Christmas chatter, relaxation and respite from last-minute shopping in town.

Sat 26

Boxing Day Walk – Water of Leith

Shook off the cobwebs with an invigorating walk through Dean Village and Stockbridge on our way to The Shore where we lunched at Pizza Express.

Fri 29

Torchlight Procession
Got Hogmanay off to a sizzling start with the Torchlight Procession.  It began at Parliament Square on the Royal Mile and ended on Calton Hill.  Once there, there was a breathtaking ceremonial burning of the Viking long-ship as well as this year’s wicker and willow effigy.  This really is a must-see.

Sat 30

Night Afore International

Fantastic free entertainment on George Street from 8pm.  This year: German street theatre (flaming chariots?), an Oompah band, lots of "colourful stilted performers" and a ceilidh stage (including "Blazing Fiddles" who are excellent).

Sun 31

Hogmanay Charity Ceilidh
We didn’t fancy being out in the cold this Hogmanay so went along to a Hogmanay Charity Ceilidh for a night of festive fun.
Turned out to be a very good move!
