Zurich Ballet has become one of the most renowned and respected ballet companies in Europe. Created by Spoerli in 2003 In den Winden im Nichts (Winds in the Void) is set to the cello suites II, III & VI by J S Bach and was making it’s  Scottish Premiere. The 38 dancers of the main company performed on stage with the up and coming dancers of the Junior Ballet in this entrancing and breathtaking production.  'Spoerli has succeeded in creating an energetic ballet which, with all sportiness, is sometimes elegant, classical, spirited and animated, with more than the occasional bow to Balanchine and van Manen.' Cocktails masterclass at Dragonfly
We slipped into the weekend with style,
mixing our own cocktails and shaking and stirring with the best of them!  There was more to it than meets the eye.  All that shaking and stirring is actually quite tricky.  Have to say we were all very impressed with Jim's fabulously rhythmic shaking technique and Brian's kung fu approach to cocktail making!  We were also most taken with our expert mixologist and his er... mixing techniques.  I’ve  managed to secure his services for our Caribbean Beach Party on 16 December, do put the date in your diaries...
