The week that was...

It wasn't quite Mediterannean weather but at least the sun held out for a fun weekend of jazz for the launch of the Jazz Festival. On Saturday at the Jazz Mardi Gras in The Grassmarket and on Sunday for Jazz on a Summer's Day in Princes Street Gardens.

As you can see above a good time was had by all over the weekend. While some of us were getting jazzy in the sun others were watching Hearts v Barcelona (and Thierry Henry).

On Friday 51 of us went for 'Thank Goodness it's Friday!' drinks at the Menzies Belford Hotel.

Thursday evening's Mini-treatments and mingling at The Treatment Place was wonderful - 52 of us went along to the boutique treatments rooms for a glass of wine, exclusive Sunday Brunch Club discounts of 20%, mini massages and polishes. Thanks to Heather and her team.

Laughing Horse has years of experience of running live comedy venues in the UK and beyond. It's now bringing a series of comedy shows to the Fringe for free!

Revolving dinner - Thurs 23 August 7pm at Peckhams
Six men and six women enjoy a relaxed dinner in the intimate private dining room in Peckham's. You'll be greeted with a reception drink followed by a 3 course meal. You'll move after each course so you'll have an opportunity to talk to everyone. It's relaxed, much like any other dinner party - except there won't be any couples! The next day you'll receive an email with the positive comments people made about you. The event is hosted by Alison Grieve who has organised these popular dinners for several years. Please book early!
