Sunday Brunch Club Update

Hello!

I hope you're all in the grip of festival fever and loving every minute of it.

I'm delighted that so many of you were able to make use of the free tickets for The Pleasance Gala Press Launch on Saturday with exclusive tasters of this year's programme.  If you have any hot tips for what to see and what not to see drop me a line. I'll be compiling a few for new week's update.

£10 tickets to see The Bacchae on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th of August at 8pm at the Festival Theatre. Edinburgh International Festival 2007 sees the world premiere of this new adaptation by the celebrated David Greig and the National Theatre of Scotland.

Wed 8 Aug - 7pm - Rounders - The Meadows
After the fun and games the last time when 17 of us played. We're doing it again tonight and you're welcome to join us. Simply turn up at the 'green hut')at the start of Jawbone Walk near Melville Drive at 7pm. As always give me a call on 07881 900 251 if you have any queries.

Fri 10 Aug - 6pm - 'Thank goodness it's Friday!' drinks - The Living Room, George Street
Drop in after work for a few drinks, laughs and enjoy the festival atmosphere. Everyone welcome so do invite friends/colleagues. Just turn up or give me a call on 07881 900 251.

Sat 11 August - Indian Banquet - Voujon
Dinners have been proving so popular so we're kicking off regular dinners with a relaxed dinner at super-delish Voujon. It's a beautiful contemporary Indian restaurant and we'll have a banquet style main course.




 

Sun 12 July - Fringe Sunday
A unique open-air extravaganza showcasing hundreds of Fringe acts including comedy, music, theatre and dance.

Following last year's events we're attending again for this lovely tasting on the water.

Sat 18 Aug - Foodies at the Festival
A taste of the best of Scottish food and drink, featuring seventy stands and a chef's theatre with cookery demonstrations from top Scottish and Michelin star chefs.

Sun 19 Aug 1pm - Brunch at Blonde
Relaxed brunching and weekend chat at Blonde a lovely Scottish and European restaurant on the Southside.

Rotating dinner - Thurs 23 August 7pm at Peckhams
These dinners have been very popular.  Six men and six women enjoy a relaxed dinner in the intimate private dining room in Peckham's. You'll be greeted with a reception drink followed by a 3 course meal. You'll move after each course so you'll have an opportunity to talk to everyone. It's relaxed, much like any other dinner party - except there won't be any couples! The next day you'll receive an email with the positive comments people made about you.

Do pop in for 'Thank Goodness it's Friday!' drinks at The Living Room on George Street this Friday. We'll be there from 6 until at least 10pm so do pop in after work or between shows.
