Al Murray
The Multi-award winning Al Murray returns with a crowning performance of his sellout tour show ...And Another Thing. The nation's favourite pub landlord holds court with his distinctive 'commonsense' reasoning on topical issues. Having joined the realms of comedy royalty witht he successof his prime-time entertainment show Happy Hour, he's back and more opinionated than ever. "It's a high-wire act that he pulls off with phenomenal comic balance... and he works the crowd with a sharpness that approaches brilliance." The Times

What we've been up to the last 3 weeks...
It's been busy and so so entertaining. We've done real ale tasting, pottery painting at Ceramic Experience, 5aside football, badminton, tennis, hillwalking in North Berwick, Thank Goodness it's Friday drinks at Hudson Bar, The Car Man at Festival Theatre, Oddbins wine fair, One Night of Queen at The Playhouse and our weekend away in Alnmouth, Northumberland.

Real ale and mini-mains tasting The first in our series of real ale tastings at Iglu was superb. I would like to run this again as it was a lovely evening and - shock horror - I found a beer I like! Yes,  the Black Isle Blonde on tap at Iglu is delicious - you must try it and let me know what you think. We also tried some delicious organic Westons cider which I implore you to try even if you think you don't like cider - it is appley, refreshing and quite dangerous at 6% with the lightness of a soft drink. The food was excellent. Iglu's organic and locally produced foods really do taste a world away from what we've become used to. Remember to book ahead for our bring a friend dinner on Saturday 24 November at Iglu and our next real ale tasting at Cask & Barrel on 26 November. To book: email us

Ceramic Experience 24 Oct 07Pottery painting at Ceramic Experience was very enjoyable. The group who went (some pictured right) are very artisitic. If you haven't been it is really a fun thing to do. You don't have to book and can just turn up when you fancy a bit of painting. They're great for Christmas presents too.

We had glorious weather for our walk in North Berwick on Sunday 28 October as you can see from the pictures below.

Walk in North Berwick 28 Oct 07 Walk in North Berwick 28 Oct 07 Walk in North Berwick 28 Oct 07 Walk in North Berwick 28 Oct 07

It was a really lovely day, we walked up North Berwick Law and the beach before a late lunch.

Lovely to meet some new faces at Thank goodness it's Friday drinks at Hudson Bar on Friday 26 October when 32 people came along. The Car Man at Festival Theatre was incredible, a superb dance work. Oddbins wine fair on Saturday 3 November was superb as usual. Always a great atmosphere and with 500 wines from all over the world we were kept busy.

One night of Queen Queen at Edinburgh Playhouse with Gary Mullen, the winner of 2000 'Stars In Their Eyes' series was fantastic. Fabulous showman and great performance.

Our weekend away in Alnmouth was lovely and I'll give a full report with pictures in the next SBC Update.

Do pop in and see us on Saturday evening 7pm in Iglu or give me a call on 07881 900 251.

Have a wonderful week!

Best wishes
Stephanie
