Sunday Brunch Club Update
11 January 2008
Happy New Year!
We wish you all the very best for a fabulously successful 2008!
A big thank you to all of you who have been involved with the Sunday Brunch Club in 2007. It's been another fabulous year for us with press coverage, a doubling of membership and, most importantly lots of fantastic events.
New beginnings
The Sunday Brunch Club was born on a dreich January day. While putting the world
to right over a glass of wine a friend and I decided to set up our own social
club to be a bit of sparkle back into our busy lives. Since then we've
grown quickly since we first put up our original webpage in April 2006. In under
2 years we've grown to over 450 members through word of mouth.
Why's the Sunday Brunch Club so popular?
Most people join through word of mouth and our members tell us that are happy to
recommend the club for five reasons:
1
- the people and friendly atmosphere
We're so popular because are members are so fantastic -
friendly, interesting professional people with zest for life.
2 - the personal touch
We're small. We attend most events, we listen to your views and work hard to
ensure that we keep in tune with what you want.
3 - fresh approach
We have a fresh and funky approach, a positive attitude and a focus on fun! Last
year's Sparkling Bingo,
Brunch in Bed and
Stars Party are all examples of the
way we do things differently by listening to members' ideas. In 2008 we'll have lots more exciting things for
you. We won't be resting on our laurels!
4 - freebies and special offers
We bring you lots of freebies such as our
champagne
reception and dinner,
Mini-massage and
manicure event, the fabulous Greypaul Ferrari day in September with
complimentary champagne, canapes, massages and the chance to drive a Mazerati,
free tickets to festival shows, £5 theatre tickets to top shows as well as lots
more. Beginning late last year most of our weekender social evenings now include
a complimentary drink for members.
As well as all this we offer discounts on theatre
and other things.
5 - excellent value at £6.25 per month
You get it all for the price of two drinks and you can claim complimentary
drinks at our weekender drinks evenings!

The week that was...
Red Hot Hogmanay Ceilidh got us
off to a fabulous start with over 160 people attending. It was an
exuberant night, filled with fun, laughter and lots of dancing.
If you have any pictures you'd like to share just drop me a line. If you're on Facebook I've set up a Facebook Red Hot Hogmanay Ceilidh page so you can upload pictures easily. Thanks to Angus and Sydny for sending pictures. (Don't worry if you're not on Facebook, I'll be posting some on the Brunch Club website too.)
A huge thank you to
Diane, Helen and Paul of The Baloonies (pictured) who worked
their magic again and got Hill Street looking fabulous.
If you organise events you know who to call! The
chocolate fountain they
suggested was very popular, people had their strawberries poised from the word
go and who can blame them...
